Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. invites undergraduates to join its Summer Internship Program in Lakeland, FL. The Operations Intern will engage in hands-on projects, collaborate with site leaders, and participate in mentoring and leadership development initiatives.

The program emphasizes real-world experience, professional growth, and networking with peers and leaders. Start date May 17 or 24, 2027, with roughly 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Interest in a career in operations or supply chain

Responsibilities

• Assist site leaders to identify, analyze, and implement process improvements
• Document and present solutions to leadership to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness
• Develop, optimize, measure, and maintain performance and productivity
• Support daily warehouse operations and cross-functional teams (receiving, picking, packing, shipping)
• Contribute to data collection, KPI analysis, and reporting to drive operational decisions
• Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives
• Gain hands-on experience on the warehouse floor and observe daily workflows
