Job summary

DLR Group in Dallas invites highly motivated students to join our Structural Engineering Intern program for the summer. You'll work with licensed engineers on real projects, learn BIM workflows, and contribute to documentation and construction phase activities.

The EPX internship runs May 18 through August 6, 2027, offers paid full-time hours, mentorship, and exposure to multidisciplinary teams across architecture, engineering, and interiors within an integrated design firm.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year in an ABET-accredited Structural/Civil/Architectural Engineering program.
• Experience or interest in BIM (Autodesk Revit MEP) workflow.

Responsibilities

• Work with a licensed engineer designing structural systems for new construction and/or building renovation projects.
• Attend design team meetings with a structural engineer and observe coordination among multi-disciplinary team members.
• Assist a structural engineer with the design and development of construction documents primarily using Revit.
• Visit an active construction site (contingent on local projects).
• Coordinate structural design requirements with architecture and other disciplines.
