Job summary

Guardian is offering a 10-week paid Summer Internship Program designed to immerse you in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will contribute to real projects, interact with senior leaders, and network with interns across our offices in Bethlehem, NY and beyond.

You will be assigned to one of the following domains: Frontend, Backend/API, or Mobile, with teams selected mid-spring to meet real-time business needs.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern software development concepts (e.g. Git, CI/CD, application architecture patterns, RESTful APIs, and end-to-end system interactions between browser, service, and database layers)
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge or experience working in an Agile environment is a plus
• Basic understanding of GenAI technologies (Copilot, etc.) and knowledge of LLMs is a plus
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Be a self‑starter – someone who enjoys “rolling up their sleeves and getting things done”, has high energy, strong work ethic, displays the ability to work independently, and is creative
• Design, develop, test, and deploy high‑quality applications for the assigned domain leveraging and involved with Cloud and/or GenAI technologies, if required
• Follow the best practices and standards for coding, testing, and documentation
• Develop proof of concepts leveraging modern technology stack
• Have the opportunity to work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members across the organization who will help coach you as you develop your professional career
• Learn about Guardian’s purpose, values, how we work, and our suite of product and service offerings
• Build a network of colleagues and have a sense of community with other interns and other parts of the business
