Job summary

Guardian Life invites applications for a 2027 Summer Intern in Digital & Technology - Application Development. This paid 10-week program runs May 27, 2027 to Aug 6, 2027 and places you in frontend, backend/API, or mobile tracks.

You will design, build, test, and deploy applications while gaining exposure to cloud/GenAI technologies, Agile practices, and mentorship from leaders across Guardian Life. Housing is not provided, with multiple location options in the Northeast.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern software development concepts (Git, CI/CD, RESTful APIs, end-to-end system interactions).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Agile environments is a plus.
• Basic understanding of GenAI technologies and LLMs is a plus.
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality applications for the assigned domain leveraging Cloud and GenAI technologies where applicable.
• Follow coding, testing, and documentation best practices and standards.
• Develop proof-of-concepts using modern technology stacks.
• Learn Guardian’s purpose, values, and product/service offerings while building a network across the organization.
