Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Personal Lines Sales & Distribution Direct Sales Intern to support acquisition and retention initiatives at a Fortune 100 company. The 12-week program emphasizes leadership development and exposure to sales operations, reporting, and strategy.

You will work with teams to analyze data, create dashboards, and contribute to capstone projects while gaining hands-on experience with AI and automation tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Risk Management & Insurance, Communications, Data Analytics or related field.
• Sophomore or junior year preferred.
• Involvement in student organizations, leadership activities, internships or related experiences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learning the fundamentals of Nationwide's Direct Sales and Retention operations and how sales teams drive results.
• Supporting strategic initiatives and special projects with NSS team.
• Analyzing sales and retention data to identify trends and insights.
• Developing reports, presentations, and dashboards to inform decisions.
• Utilizing AI, automation tools, and Salesforce to support initiatives.
• Assisting with sales campaigns and process improvements.
• Participating in Lean Six Sigma activities and continuous improvement.
• Evaluating pilot programs and recommending next steps.
• Building relationships with sales and retention professionals to understand needs.
