Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Personal Lines Sales & Distribution Direct Sales Intern to explore sales operations, analytics, and strategic projects at a Fortune 100 company. You will support initiatives with the NSS team, analyze retention data, and build reports to inform business decisions.

You will gain exposure to emerging technologies such as AI, automation, and Salesforce while collaborating across teams and presenting actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Risk Management & Insurance, Communications, Data Analytics, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
• Completion of sophomore or junior year preferred.
• Involvement in student organizations, leadership activities, internships, or related experiences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn fundamentals of Nationwide's Direct Sales and Retention operations.
• Support strategic initiatives and projects with NSS team.
• Analyze sales and retention data for trends and insights.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for decision-making.
• Use emerging technologies like AI, automation, and Salesforce in initiatives.
• Assist with campaigns, process improvements, and operational efforts.
• Participate in Lean Six Sigma activities and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate pilot programs and recommend next steps.
• Build relationships with sales and retention professionals to understand needs.
• Collaborate on strategic projects with Sales, Property & Casualty partners.
• Complete capstone project presenting findings to leadership.
