Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is offering a paid Management & Sales Internship for 10-12 weeks in our California stores. The program provides hands-on experience in management, sales, store operations, and customer experiences.

You will travel with a Sales Representative, work with the management team on a team project, and gain practical business insight through retail and B2B interactions. College students enrolled at the start of the internship are eligible; graduates are not.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship or co-op program
• Must be eighteen or older and legally authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future
• Ability to retrieve materials and lift up to 50 lbs (70 lbs occasionally)
• Willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers in-store and over the phone
• Maintain product displays and assist customers by recommending items that meet their needs
• Develop a strong understanding of store merchandise to answer customer inquiries and ensure inventory accuracy
• Restock shelves, support inventory management, and contribute to visual merchandising efforts
• Assist with point-of-sale transactions, product preparation/mixing, and general store maintenance
• Help with unloading deliveries, organizing stockrooms, and ensuring efficient inventory flow
• Participate in required training sessions and adhere to store policies, including safety, HR guidelines, and loss prevention protocols
• Collaborate with fellow interns on a team-based project that addresses a real business challenge or store initiative
