Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking a Summer Intern to support the Talent Development team with onboarding, employee development, data reporting, and succession planning projects. You will gain exposure to key HR initiatives and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

The role is a temporary full‑time internship, offered in‑person or hybrid at Lakewood or Houston offices. Summer 2027 runs for 10 weeks from May through August.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in HR, business, or related fields.
• Expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
• Basic understanding of HR concepts or interest in talent development and organizational learning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Prior internship or coursework related to HR or data analysis is a plus.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools or HRIS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with data collection and analysis to support talent development reporting and metrics.
• Supporting creation and updating of learning materials, including onboarding content.
• Coordinating and communicating with stakeholders across the organization.
• Participating in research related to leadership competencies and succession planning best practices.
• Contributing to administrative tasks that support program expansion and team initiatives.
