Job summary

Kite Realty Group, a leading REIT headquartered in Indianapolis, invites an Employee Experience/HR Intern to join its 2027 Summer Internship Program at the Corporate Office in Indianapolis, IN. This paid internship offers hands-on exposure to HR operations in a fast-paced real estate environment.

You will support recruiting administration, onboarding, benefits and compliance tasks, and gain experience across multiple HR functions while interfacing with diverse business departments.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Interest in human resources, talent acquisition, and event planning.

Responsibilities

• Hands‑on experience in various aspects of HR
• Support the Employee Experience team in creating a positive experience for employees
• Perform essential recruiting administrative tasks and gain exposure to KRG’s applicant tracking system (ATS)
• Coordinate career fairs and conduct cost analysis
• Assist in creating and revising employee onboarding materials
• Shadow relevant benefits and compliance tasks
• Help with implementation of learning management system courses and required employee trainings
• Audit and scan documents
• Organize systems audits, create/refine safety plans, and research innovative performance management resources
• Holistic learning experience of both HR and a REIT
