Job summary

Urban Outfitters is seeking a Summer Buying Internship in our Home Buying team at the Philadelphia Home Office. You will explore trends, manage inbound brand samples, and aid seasonal assortment selections while presenting new brands and evolving items. This paid internship runs 6/7–8/13 with unique intern events and leadership exposure.

Qualifications

Buying/Merchandising major or related preferred.
Prior retail experience preferred.
Passion for trending home décor items and giftables.
Urban Outfitters customer enthusiast and immersed in social media trends.
Google and Microsoft program experience.

Responsibilities

Trend & Assortment Innovation: present emerging macro-trends and forward-thinking brand concepts.
Sample Lifecycle & Cross-Functional Management: support end-to-end sample handoffs and shoot priorities.
Sample Organization: maintain organization for sample closet and inbound inventory.
Social & Digital Trend Alignment: translate trending content into promotional strategies.
Visual Presentation & Picture Pack Curation: maintain packs for presentations and executive alignments.
Competitive Intelligence & Market Analysis: weekly market research on pricing and product shifts.
Digital Innovation & Customer Experience: contribute insights to elevate online journey.
