Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative is offering a summer internship for an E&I Maintenance student at the Dakota Gasification Company location in Beulah, North Dakota. The role runs approximately May 17, 2027 through August 20, 2027, performing basic duties related to repair and maintenance of plant electrical and instrumentation equipment.

The intern will assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations of DCS, PLCs, and instrumentation, with safety and compliance as a priority.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be enrolled in a two-year Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Technology program with two semesters completed, or a recent graduate.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of plant electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting and installation/repair/maintenance of DCS, PLCs, sensors, and related systems.
• Support annual Family Night event activities.
