Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative invites applications for a STUDENT INTERN - MAINTENANCE (DGC) at the Dakota Gasification Company location in Beulah, ND. This summer internship runs approximately May 17, 2027 through August 20, 2027 and focuses on assisting Field Maintenance Technicians with repairing plant equipment.

You will work with a variety of tools, gain hands-on experience, and participate in safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time student in a welding or mechanical maintenance program with freshman year completed.
• GPA minimum 2.5 and valid driver’s license.
• At least 18 years of age and able to work in Beulah, ND.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance tasks to repair and maintain plant equipment.
• Operate power, hydraulic, and hand tools as directed.
• Troubleshoot equipment to diagnose problems.
• Support event setup and cleanup as part of departmental duties.
