Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative is offering a STUDENT INTERN - E&I MAINTENANCE position at its Beulah, ND location for the summer of 2027 (May 17, 2027 – August 20, 2027). This temporary role involves basic duties related to repair and maintenance of plant electrical and instrumentation equipment.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a two-year Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Technology program, with at least two semesters completed, a GPA of 2.5, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be enrolled as a full-time student in a two-year Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Technology program with two semesters completed, or a recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Transcript required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of plant electrical and instrumentation equipment in a safe, logical, and efficient manner, in compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting and support installation/repair/maintenance of DCS, PLCs, temp and vibration monitoring, VFDs, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
• Support the annual Family Night event, including setup, participation, and cleanup.
