Bon Appetit is offering a paid Culinary Internship in the Greater San Francisco area for Summer 2027. The program pairs hospitality students with culinary mentors to gain hands-on kitchen experience across stations.

Interns work 20–40 hours per week, learn wellness and sustainability initiatives, and may assist with catering events. Applicants must be enrolled in a college culinary or hospitality program with sanitation and knife-skills coursework, GPA requirements, and be eligible for college

Qualifications

• Applicants must be enrolled in a college culinary or hospitality program.
• Meet GPA requirement for internship.
• Must have sanitation standards training completed.
• Must complete knife skills or introductory culinary coursework.
• Available to work 20–40 hours per week based on business needs.
• College credit is not required, but documentation can be provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items across all kitchen stations.
• Rotate through pizza/pasta, deli, salad bar, grill, and international cuisine sections.
• Engage with guests and tailor plates to dietary needs.
• Review culinary and front-of-house standards.
• Learn about wellness and sustainability initiatives.
• Adhere to customer service standards.
• Practice safety and sanitation protocols.
• Assist with catering events, including setup and execution.
• Develop professional relationships and enhance interpersonal skills.
