Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Summer 2027 Construction Intern to gain hands-on experience across multiple departments, including office and field-based activities.

Interns rotate through functions, work on projects, and engage in trainings designed to develop professional skills and industry knowledge. The program aims to provide exposure to homebuilding, customer experience, and career opportunities within D.R.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university and entering junior or senior year, or recently graduated.
• Pursuing a degree related to internship area (business, technology, finance, construction, real estate, HR, marketing, operations, or related fields).
• Demonstrated interest in opportunities within homebuilding, financial services, land development, or corporate operations.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within the assigned department, division, office, field location, jobsite, or business function.
• Assist with department-specific projects, research, reporting, administrative activities, coordination efforts, systems, processes, and other business needs.
• Learn and apply departmental responsibilities, industry terminology, business systems, company policies, safety requirements, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to understand how areas support homebuilding and customer experience.
• Participate in training programs, meetings, rotations, and other learning opportunities.
