Job summary

S&ME's Spark Internship Program offers hands-on experience in Civil, Environmental, Construction, and Geotechnical engineering. Interns work alongside experienced professional-owners and join a cohort across service lines to learn the full scope of the firm.

The 2027 program is a twelve-week internship from May 2027 through August 2027, with competitive pay based on experience. Housing is not provided. Applicants must meet eligibility and pass checks; visa assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a related degree program; Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students preferred.
• Related experience and/or campus, community, work-related leadership experience preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Out of town travel may be required.
• For technical roles the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is required.
• Routine lifting may be required: 40 to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced professionals within your area of interest.
• Be part of an intern cohort and learn about all aspects of S&ME.
• Gain hands-on experience and professional development to transition from campus to career.
