Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Buildings Engineering Intern for the Chicago, IL office for Summer 2027. You will work on structural design and drawings for various building types, from concept through construction, while gaining hands-on experience on diverse projects.

Collaborate with project teams, perform field reviews, and develop skills in modeling and analysis. Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Current 3rd year undergrad or graduate standing in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structures).
• Steel and concrete design coursework completed or in progress.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software.
• Familiarity with REVIT Structure is beneficial.
• Co-op/internship experience related to buildings is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing structural design and drawings for buildings from concept to construction.
• Conduct field reviews and document existing conditions on current projects.
• Familiarize with engineering plans and details.
• Assist with computer modeling and hand calculations.
