Job summary

Amazon is seeking a dedicated Area Manager Intern for a ten-week summer program at one of our operations sites in Georgia, including Jefferson. You will learn to coach and develop a team of 50–100 associates, drive standard work, and gain hands-on leadership experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This internship emphasizes mentorship, an intern project, and exposure to real operations leadership.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with anticipated completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates.
Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs.
Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment (at applicable facilities) and step in as needed.
Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
Climb and descend stairs (when applicable).
