Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager Intern for a 10-week summer internship at one of its fulfillment centers or operations facilities in the United States. You will learn to coach and mentor a team of 50–100 associates, drive standard work, and manage an internship project with site leadership collaboration.

You’ll work a rotating schedule, including nights and weekends, in a fast-paced environment designed to demonstrate real impact on customer orders and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with expected completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of Amazon Associates within a warehouse environment.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours and regularly work nights, weekends, or holidays.
• Oversee deliveries, handle and sort packages using equipment and support teams as needed.
• Lead shift activities to keep safety, quality, and productivity in balance.
• Wrap up administrative tasks and hand off to the next shift with clear priorities.
