Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager Intern in California for a 10-week summer program. You will coach and develop a team of 50-100 associates, drive continuous improvement, and lead from the floor in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Training and leadership development are provided, with potential for relocation and housing assistance depending on site. The role emphasizes collaboration with site leadership, safety, quality, and productivity, and requires availability for varied shifts,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and expected to complete between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.
• Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays with a 4-day work week pattern.
