Job summary
The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking Summer 2027 Arborist Trainee Interns for Englewood, CO. This temporary, full-time internship offers hands-on field experience in tree care, plant health care, sales and client services, with a starting wage of $22.00 per hour.
You will climb trees, work as part of a crew, and learn pruning, removal, cabling and safety practices. Ideal candidates enjoy the outdoors and may have forestry/ horticulture/ landscaping background; training and certifications may
Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors.
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
- Preferred licenses/certificates related to pesticides if required by state law.
Responsibilities
- Learn to climb trees and become part of a tree crew.
- Progressively learn new skills in tree care and client services.
- Perform pruning, thinning and removal services safely and skillfully.
- Identify trees and follow industry pruning guidelines.
- Learn to install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
- Assist in removal of hazardous trees and maintain tools and equipment.
