Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company invites students to join the Summer 2027 Arborist Trainee Internship in SE Denver, CO. This temporary, full-time position is ideal for college students on summer break who want hands-on experience in tree care, plant health, sales and client services.

Starting date is flexible; pay is $22.00 hourly. You’ll learn climbing, pruning, and removal techniques on a real crew, supported by safety training and company equipment.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Willingness to complete Davey Tree Orientation program upon hire.
• Willingness to complete First Aid, CPR and defensive driving courses upon hire.
• Preferred: related licenses/certifications as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Learn to climb trees and operate as a member of a tree crew.
• Learn pruning and removal techniques for clients.
• Assist in installing cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
