Job summary

General Motors is seeking motivated, analytical students for its 12-week Supplier Quality Internship Program in Warren, Michigan. You will work on supplier quality, manufacturing processes, and automotive engineering, collaborating with purchasing, product engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning and PPAP processes while contributing to project milestones and quality

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering or quality management).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Be the technical liaison between GM purchasing, product engineering, manufacturing and suppliers.
• Review supplier quality plans and PFMEA/PPAP requirements.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality-system development.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address quality concerns and project milestones.
