Job summary

Nisqually Red Wind Casino seeks a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) to lead counseling and case management at the Nisqually Generations Healing Center in Olympia. The role requires coordination with medical staff and external agencies, maintaining records, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

You will conduct individual, group, and family sessions, monitor progress, and participate in community education while prioritizing patient confidentiality and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified Substance Use Disorder Professional (WA).
• Valid WA driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to work with vulnerable populations (adults and children).
• State and FBI criminal history background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct counseling and case management (individual, group, family).
• Orient clients to facility rules, hours of service, and costs.
• Identify problems, explore solutions, and develop action plans.
• Respond to crises and use events to improve treatment.
• Lead discussions, lectures, and films for group sessions.
• Maintain standards and comply with laws and policies.
• Follow up on treatment programs for each patient.
• Coordinate with other agencies to expedite treatment.
• Maintain confidential case files and timely forms.
• Maintain electronic records per HIPAA/42 CFR 2.
• Prepare progress reports for interfacing agencies (courts, probation).
• Participate in community education on substance use disorder.
• Maintain licensure requirements and compliance.
• Ensure security and confidentiality of all program data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
