Cowlitz Indian Tribe Health & Human Services Department in Tukwila, Washington is hiring a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) for a full-time role. Work within an integrated behavioral health team, delivering individual and group counseling to support recovery and wellness.

Active WA SUDP credential is required; SUDP-T may be considered if close to credentialing. Requires an associate’s degree, three years in behavioral health, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Active SUDP credential in Washington State.
• SUDP-T may be considered if within ~6 months of credentialing.
• Associate’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Three years’ work experience in behavioral health services.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assesses clients using instruments to determine diagnosis, motivation, relapse potential, health needs, environment, and vocational situation.
• Determines level of care and intervention strategies aligned with treatment plan.
• Conducts individual and group counseling sessions with clients and families.
• Teaches coping skills and relapse prevention techniques.
• Follows DSM and ASAM guidelines in practice.
• Collaborates with community services to ensure access to sobriety-supportive resources.
