Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Tacoma, WA, seeks a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) to provide direct counseling in a secure residential setting. The role includes assessments, individual and group sessions, and serving as primary case manager for up to ten youth.

Applicants must have an associate degree, a WA DoH SUDP license, and up to three years of experience; health screenings, influenza vaccine, BLS CPR, background checks, and EHR trainings are required.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate’s degree and a qualifying SUDP certificate.
• Must hold an active SUDP license from WA State Department of Health.
• Up to three years of experience in the field.
• Pre-hire and annual health screenings, TB test, and annual influenza vaccine required; exemptions allowed with note.
• BLS CPR within 90 days and maintained.
• Background check satisfactory.
• BH EHR system trainings completion.

Responsibilities

• Must carry a minimum caseload of 8 to 10 active cases.
• Provides screening and evaluation of individuals and referrals to other treatment/service programs.
• Provides individual and group counseling for persons with drug-related problems and emerging mental health issues.
• Serves as the primary case manager for a group of up to ten youth.
• Implements problem-oriented records systems and reports and submits monthly to the Treatment Director.
