Cowlitz Indian Tribe in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) to join an integrated behavioral health team. The position is full-time, hourly, with a 8:00 am - 5:00 pm schedule and open until filled.

The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance and culturally responsive care within the CIT HHS department. Responsibilities include client assessments, individual and group counseling, relapse prevention, and coordination with community resources to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Active Substance Use Disorder Professional certification in Washington.
• Associate’s degree in psychology, social work, or closely related field.
• Three years’ work experience in behavioral health services.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• SUDP-T in Washington State may be considered near credential.
• Experience serving Native American communities preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assesses clients using instruments to determine diagnosis and treatment needs.
• Determines level of care and intervention strategies aligned to treatment plans.
• Conducts individual and group counseling sessions with clients and families.
• Teaches coping skills and relapse prevention techniques.
• Coordinates care with referral sources and involved organizations.
• Documents progress and maintains HIPAA compliance.

Formation

Associate’s degree in psychology or social work

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Active SUDP certification WA

SUDP-T considered near credential

Three years’ behavioral health experience
