Job summary

RTX is seeking a Subsystem Electrical Engineer II in Tucson, AZ to join our Advanced Effector Guidance Systems team. You will integrate and validate Guidance Electronics hardware, develop and document subsystem requirements, and work with design teams and government customers to resolve issues.

The role emphasizes testing, debugging, and collaboration across disciplines in a lab and office setting, with some travel. A DoD secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
• Minimum of 2 years' experience with electrical hardware development and/or testing
• Experience in sub-systems, systems engineering requirement development and/or requirement validation.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work environment is office and lab-based with possible field work.
• Integrate and validate electronics; analyze hardware designs; document subsystem requirements and test plans; participate in peer reviews and present to peers, management, and government customers.
• Mentor and be mentored within a Missile Systems team and coordinate with higher level management and customers.
