Job summary

RTX’s Advanced Effector Guidance Systems group seeks a Subsystem Electrical Engineer II to join our team in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on testing and validating guidance electronics, integrating electronics during development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine subsystem architecture.

A DoD Secret-level clearance and US citizenship are required. Office work in a lab and occasional travel may be necessary; mentorship and teamwork are emphasized as part of missile systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical hardware development and/or testing.
• Experience in sub-systems, systems engineering requirement development and/or validation.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance required before start; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and validate electronics during development; test hardware and assess performance.
• Influence architecture development/refinement and document subsystem requirements and test plans.
• Collaborate with design teams and interface with missile-level integration engineers for hardware handoff.
