Job summary

Penhall Company in Florida seeks a Subsurface Specialist to blend field investigations with frontline business development. You will perform subsurface investigations using GPR and EM locating, capture results, and deliver on-site reports while identifying opportunities to grow client relationships.

This hybrid role requires 90% travel across the state and beyond, with evenings and weekends as needed. You’ll collaborate with regional teams, prepare quotes, and support sales efforts to expand

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; GPR certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in GPR or construction scanning.
• Prior sales or customer-facing experience in construction is a strong plus.
• Proven field experience with underground utility location and mapping investigations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and sales experience.
• Self-starter with ability to manage time independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus.
• Ability to travel locally to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform subsurface investigations using GPR and EM locating with field software.
• Deliver on-site solutions, mark-outs, and reports to Penhall’s standards.
• Engage clients before, during, and after field services to capture data and identify opportunities.
• Actively pursue new business prospects through office and site visits and networking events.
• Collaborate with Regional Business Development, Account Managers and Branch Leadership.
• Deliver custom quotes, proposals, and pricing negotiations.
• Engage with clients as a subject matter expert and solution provider.
• Coordinate sales efforts and project schedule with Branch operations.
• Document client interactions, leads, and opportunities in the CRM.
• Represent Penhall at industry events and safety meetings.
