Job summary

Innovation Learning is seeking a part-time Resilience Coach to support after-school and summer programs at Westfield Elementary School in Winthrop Harbor, IL. Join a dynamic team that mentors students, delivers enrichment activities, homework help, and social-emotional development in a positive environment.

You will work 2:30PM-6PM most days, with some variation by site, and be responsible for safe, engaging activities and strong student connections while following all safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 years old or older.
• Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
• Prior leadership experience in a childcare setting is a strong plus!
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Now Hiring for the 2026-2027 School Year!
Location: School-Based Program Site - Westfield School in Winthrop Harbor, IL

Reports To: Head Coach/Site Leadership

Schedule: Part-Time (Before & After School Programs, School Breaks, and Summer Programs)

Monday-Friday: 2:30PM-6PM at Westfield Elementary School in Winthrop Harbor

Mon-Fri: 2:15PM-5:30PM at St. Patricks in Wadsworth

PLEASE NOTE: This is a substitute role that is utilized on an as-needed basis when permanent staff are unable to work due to illness, time off, etc. We are looking for candidates who are available to work at either site listed. This role does not have a guaranteed number of hours per week or a consistent schedule.

Pay: $19-21/hour, based on experience and region
