TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Technician to support Transmission and Distribution substation operations. You will ensure system reliability, safety, and compliance through testing, calibration, and equipment programming.

Requirements include 1–3 years of commissioning experience and a BET/AET educational background. The role offers full-time work in the US with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years commissioning, panel and equipment checkout, relay calibration, testing and repairing substation relaying and control schemes.
• Knowledge of 3-phase power systems, power system protection & control schemes, test equipment and software.
• Basic wiring interpretation and test procedures for substation equipment.
• Ability to learn and apply test procedures for various equipment types.

Responsabilités

• Conduct testing and routine maintenance of substation relaying, control systems, and voltage regulation equipment.
• Calibrate protective relays and set relay configurations per standards.
• Program Load Tap Changing and voltage regulator controllers.
• Troubleshoot and repair substation relays and control devices.
• Plan testing activities and maintain service continuity.
• Document testing procedures, results, and equipment configurations.
