Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Substation Technician C to support construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment across multiple locations.

This role requires 2-4 years of working knowledge of 525 kV and below systems and the ability to travel to Florida and other states. Responsibilities include performing safe testing, adjustments and troubleshooting, maintaining tools and vehicles, and working around energized equipment.

Qualifications

• Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Capable of climbing and working at heights up to 125 feet.
• Must obtain Commercial Drivers' License.
• Must supply own hand tools and safety boots.
• Capable of lifting over 50 lbs.
• Willing to travel 90% and work overtime as needed.
• Must follow safety rules and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance or repair of substation equipment and systems.
• Maintain Company vehicles, test equipment and tools in good condition.
• Work safely around energized high voltage systems.
• Travel to project sites; may require long hours during emergencies and short notice.
