Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Substation Supervisor for the Washington Boyce, PA Service Center. This on-site role directs substation construction activities, ensures safety compliance, and coordinates crews during emergencies and restorations.

You will oversee installation and maintenance of breakers, transformers, and related equipment, guiding staff to deliver reliable service while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with 5–7 years in electrical field.
• Advanced knowledge of transmission and distribution systems and operations.
• Some supervisory experience preferred.
• Able to read, interpret complex prints and specs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and direct commitment to safety.
• Direct and supervise electricians in transmission and distribution construction work.
• Direct substation work on installation/removal of equipment (breakers, switches, transformers, bus work).
• Coordinate emergencies and dispatch restoration crews during storms.
• Coach and mentor employees to meet performance standards.
