Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp is seeking a Substation Supervisor to lead the Erie, PA based transmission and distribution teams. The role focuses on safety, supervision of substation construction activities, and coordination during outages and emergencies.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in electric systems, experience reading complex prints, and proven leadership abilities to mentor staff and ensure reliable service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5–7 years in electrical field.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems.
• Ability to read/alter and communicate complex prints/specifications.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating commitment to safety in all activities.
• Directing employees engaged in transmission and distribution construction work.
• supervise substation installation and removal of facilities such as breakers and transformers.
• Responding to emergencies to support public safety and system reliability, and dispatching restoration crews.
• Coordinate with other departments and schedule construction, maintenance, repair or test work.
