Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Drafter/Designer – Protection & Controls to join our Power Delivery group in multiple U.S. locations (Houston TX, Orlando FL, Covington LA (Hybrid), Overland Park KS, Kennesaw GA or Remote).

The role may be filled as a Drafter or Designer based on qualifications and experience. You will design substation protection drawings, perform basic design calculations, and collaborate with engineers to deliver safe, reliable grid solutions with on-site field

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Substation drafting or designing with focus on protection and control.
• Familiarity with relay protection schemes.
• Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Willingness to enter energized substations with PPE and training.
• Self-driven time management to meet deadlines and communicate with stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel for client site visits and project meetings.

Responsibilities

• Substation Design & Drafting: Develop electric substation drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and building layouts.
• Engineering Analysis & Calculations: Perform basic design calculations such as voltage drop and conduit fill.
• Collaboration & Quality Assurance: Ensure accurate, on-time delivery meeting standards and client requirements.
• Field Support: Provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning as required.
