This entry-level Electrical Engineer role focuses on protection and control design for utility-scale substations for power delivery, solar, and wind projects. You will prepare reports and drawings, review submittals, and support field activities during construction while collaborating with Project Managers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
Familiar with IEEE, ANSI, and NESC codes.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) required.
Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
Ability to manage time and workload with attention to detail.
Minimal travel possible.
EIT/FE certification or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for protection and control design for utility-scale substations for power delivery, solar, and wind applications.
Prepares reports, specifications, and drawing packages.
Review and approve project submittals, RFIs and support field activities during construction.
Provide professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects.
Day-to-day support and input to internal and external Project Managers.
