Job summary

Primoris T&D Services, LLC is seeking a Substation Project Manager to oversee Substation construction projects from initiation through closeout. You will support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution while ensuring compliance with standards, safety, and customer expectations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of PM experience in substations or utilities, plus familiarity with project management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Or minimum 7+ years of project management experience in Substation construction, utilities, or infrastructure.
• Experience with project management and analytical tools (Smartsheet, Power BI, Excel, MS Project, Primavera).
• Field experience is a plus; EPC experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and other project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead development of project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with project coordinators to manage procurement, submittals, and construction requirements.
• Monitor project progress and performance through regular updates and field visits.
• Oversee change orders and ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align deliverables.
• Manage and track contracts, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
• Identify and report risks, issues, and variances; assist in mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate progress meetings and clear communication across stakeholders.
• Assist in project closeout activities, including demobilization and lessons learned.
