Job summary

Primoris T&D Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of large-scale transmission and substation capital projects from concept through commissioning. You will own scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while guiding engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

You will manage project financials, forecasts, earned value, and risk; present updates to executives; mentor project staff; and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of progressively responsible project management experience in electric utility, transmission, substation, energy, infrastructure, or heavy construction environments.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple high-profile projects simultaneously.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership and supporting strategic business decisions.
• PMP certification is strongly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Power BI, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple large-scale transmission and substation projects with overall accountability for scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain full financial accountability for assigned projects and programs, including budget development, forecasting, cash flow management, earned value analysis, and variance reporting.
• Present portfolio performance updates, financial forecasts, and risk assessments to executive leadership.
• Lead project teams through all lifecycle phases, including initiation, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Lead executive steering committee meetings and provide clear communication regarding project status, risks, mitigation strategies, and business impacts.
• Oversee contract administration, contractor performance management, claims resolution, and commercial negotiations.
• Mentor and coach Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
• Drive safety, quality, and operational excellence initiatives.
