Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a Substation Project Manager to lead electrical utility construction projects from pre-planning through construction administration. You will supervise field teams, manage safety, and ensure projects meet design, budget, and schedule targets.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and financial acumen with experience in utility construction and union environments.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering or related field required or preferred.
• 4–7 years of project management/engineering in utility construction.
• Experience with union jurisdiction and labor agreements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety management system and daily field operations.
• Coordinate construction activity with design, budget and schedule.
• Interface with owner/client and on-site crews to ensure milestones.
• Apply project management standards and report via PCRS.
• Prepare proposals, estimates and take-offs for electrical projects.
• Forecast profitability and manage project budgets.
• Coordinate submittals, cost codes, and job cost spread.
• Provide weekly updates to senior management.
