Job summary

Powerserve Technologies in Jupiter, FL is seeking a Substation Estimator – Power Delivery to prepare accurate cost estimates for EPC projects in the electric utility sector, covering Above Grade and Below Grade substations, greenfield and brownfield, as well as related transmission lines and BESS facilities.

You will work with engineering, construction, procurement and project management teams to build detailed cost models, assess means and methods, and support bid strategy and risk reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is nice to have, but NOT required.
• Must have 1-5+ years of estimating experience in power delivery projects such as High Voltage Substations.
• Substations and/or transmission line projects; utility-scale electrical infrastructure.
• Understanding of EPC contracting, construction means and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates for power delivery projects.
• Develop estimates for substations, transmission lines, and BESS facilities.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and models.
• Develop labor, equipment, material, subcontract, and indirect cost estimates.
• Evaluate means and methods, sequencing, and productivity assumptions.
• Support bid strategy development, pricing decisions, and proposal support.
