Job summary

Powerserve Technologies is seeking a Substation Estimator – Power Delivery to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for EPC projects in the electric utility sector. Focus covers substations, transmission lines, and BESS across greenfield and brownfield sites.

You will collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, and project management to develop detailed cost models, evaluate means and methods, and support bid strategy and proposal efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree nice to have, but NOT required.
• Must have 1-5+ years of estimating experience in power delivery projects such as High Voltage Substations.
• Strong understanding of EPC contracting and project delivery models.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates for: High-voltage and medium-voltage substations, transmission line projects, and BESS facilities.
• Develop estimates for greenfield and brownfield construction.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, and models.
• Develop labor, equipment, material, subcontract, and indirect cost estimates.
• Evaluate means and methods, sequencing, and productivity assumptions.
• Analyze project risks and contingencies; support design-build, EPC, EPCM, and negotiated delivery.
• Participate in estimate reviews, value engineering, and risk review meetings.
• Assist with bid strategy development, pricing decisions, and proposal support.
