Job summary

Powerserve Technologies is seeking a Substation Estimator – Power Delivery to prepare accurate cost estimates for EPC construction in the electric utility sector. The role covers High Voltage Substations, transmission lines, and BESS facilities in greenfield and brownfield settings.

Primary focus is power delivery estimating with collaboration across engineering, construction, procurement, and project management to ensure timely, competitive bids and successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is nice to have, but NOT required.
• Must have 1-5+ years of estimating experience in power delivery projects such as High Voltage Substations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates for substations, transmission line projects, and BESS facilities.
• Develop estimates for greenfield and brownfield construction, including live substation work and outage-constrained environments.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and models; develop labor, equipment, material, subcontract, and indirect cost estimates.
• Evaluate means and methods, sequencing, and productivity; analyze risks and contingencies; support various project delivery methods.
