Job summary

Powerserve Technologies in Jupiter, FL is seeking a Substation Estimator – Power Delivery. The role focuses on preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for EPC projects in the electric utility sector, including above and below grade substations, both greenfield and brownfield, plus BESS facilities.

You will work with engineering, procurement, and project teams, perform quantity takeoffs, evaluate means and methods, and contribute to bid strategy and risk reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is nice to have, but NOT required.
• 1–5+ years of estimating experience in power delivery projects such as High Voltage Substations.
• Substations and/or transmission line projects; utility-scale electrical infrastructure.
• Understanding EPC contracting, construction means/methods, and cost drivers in utility construction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates for High Voltage substations, transmission lines, and BESS facilities.
• Develop estimates for greenfield and brownfield construction, including live substation work and outages.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and models.
• Develop labor, equipment, material, subcontract, and indirect cost estimates.
• Evaluate construction means, methods, sequencing, and productivity.
• Support bid strategy development, pricing decisions, and proposal support.
