Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Physical Engineer to deliver high-impact substation physical design projects ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV. You will work with internal engineers and clients to ensure safe, reliable layouts and on-time performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of substation design experience; travel to sites is expected. Hybrid work options and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) required with 4+ years of substation physical design experience (Senior 8+ years).
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and client locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of substation physical design projects with technical excellence and on-time performance.
• Collaborate with internal engineering groups and external clients to understand needs and deliver compliant solutions.
• Perform QA/QC reviews on substation design packages for accuracy and constructability.
• Read and review substation drawings including onelines, threelines, plan-and-section views, grounding layouts, and foundations.
• Create and verify bills of materials for substation components.
