Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review breaker, transformer, and oil test results, identify root-cause issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain and update the Protection System Maintenance Program policy and ensure records reflect current requirements.
• Evaluate and update substation asset data in Cascade to improve maintenance planning accuracy.
• Assist Field Supervisors with sequencing and scheduling work orders to align tasks with outage windows and project timelines.
• Prepare engineering documentation: reports, calculations, and drawings to support maintenance decisions.
• Collect and perform preliminary analysis on maintenance performance data for program metrics.
• Support compliance documentation and audit preparation for NERC, SIP, environmental oil policies and regulatory bodies.

Position Overview

As a Substation Modification & Compliance Engineer II at OPPD, you will conduct independent engineering analysis and contribute to more complex aspects of substation maintenance coordination, documentation, and compliance. You will update maintenance records, refine substation asset data, and support the development of accurate test documentation for breakers, transformers, and oil system compliance requirements. This role engages regularly with manufacturers, field crews, and internal partners to support reliable substation operations and ensure alignment with NERC and SIP compliance expectations.

The Impact You'll Have

• Review breaker, transformer, and oil test results, identify root-cause issues, and recommend corrective actions
