Job summary

Position Overview

As a Substation Modification & Compliance Engineer I at Omaha Public Power District (OPPD), you will support the ongoing reliability and regulatory compliance of OPPD's substations through accurate documentation, foundational engineering analysis, and hands on involvement in maintenance programs. You will help record and organize test results for substation equipment: including breakers, transformers, and oil testing; while learning how to collaborate with manufacturers, field crews, and compliance teams. This entry-level role offers structured development in maintenance documentation, NERC/SIP compliance requirements, and OPPD's Protection System Maintenance Program (PSMP).
