Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Substation Engineer in the Oil & Gas group to perform engineering design and analysis for substation projects across the US and Canada. You will lead quality work, coordinate with designers and engineers, and ensure deliverables meet budget and schedule requirements.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, training junior staff, and collaboration with project teams to deliver complex electrical substations and BESS facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• US licensure (E.) preferred

Responsibilities

• QA/QC: implement the quality assurance plan and check work for quality and accuracy.
• Train junior engineers and designers in substation physical design and BESS facilities.
• Lead technical scope, budget, and execution as Phase Manager (PPM) with regular input to the Team Lead.
• Review submittals for conformance with owner/client specs and required codes.
• Prepare calculations and models for physical designs and generate cost estimates and proposals.
