Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a senior Field Technician to deliver engineering field services and assist with design and analysis under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. You will support client projects with quality service delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include equipment testing, relay and SCADA/PLC work, and coordinating with Engineers, Owners, Vendors, Contractors, and other parties while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates preferred.
• 3+ years of Substation Testing Experience.
• NETA II / III or NICET II certifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Strong independent judgement and discretion.
• Experience leading highly technical projects.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced growing team.

Responsibilities

• Performs equipment, control system, communications, troubleshooting, relay testing, start-up, and commissioning services.
• Lead team of varying skill levels for multiple markets and scopes.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to field staff; ensure quality.
• Provide onsite construction support and supervision; attend meetings; assist with RFIs and designs.
• Prepare field testing, troubleshooting, and construction progress reports.
• Program, wire, and install protective relaying and control systems.
• Program, install, and test communications, SCADA, and PLC systems.
• Assist in detailed design of Electric Power Systems including diagrams and wiring, and project estimates.
