Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Power & Energy team. We design power generation, transmission, and distribution systems for wind, solar, BESS, and substations.

This role offers opportunities to contribute to renewable energy projects and grow within a mission-driven organization. You will lead projects from kickoff through design, collaborate with civil, structural, SCADA and protection engineers, prepare drawings and reports, and ensure NEC/NESC/IEEE compliance;

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10+ years in power systems, renewables or substations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Office and power system analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Apply electrical engineering principles to high-voltage system design.
• Lead tasks from project kickoff through design package completion.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, SCADA and protection engineers.
• Prepare one-line diagrams, studies, specs, BOMs, and client reports.
• Ensure designs meet NEC/NESC/IEEE/ANSI and other standards.
• Travel up to 20% for field walks and client meetings.
